The MAUS come back to life??
I guess we need the Antonov AN-225 heavy lifter (250 tons capacity) to send her around the world.

Definitely an interesting development. Will be neat to see it back in running condition (not sure if it ever even was running before).

Their going to have a lot of work finding and rebuilding the engine and transmission etc . From watching the Chieftain's episode on WOT and a Russian video of the beast inside and out , it's totally gutted . Might be able to adapt a modern engine and tranny to get it moving , but to me,that's just not right . Kind of like those T- ? whatever tigers in Prviate Ryan

The difference, Jim, is that this won't be a tank converted to look like another. This will be an actual Maus, originally built during the war. It may end up with a different drivetrain and many other remanufactured parts, but the basis will still be original.
I can not imagine what kind of investment this is going to take.

Looks to me like they're just hyping the tank for the game. Alot of innuendo, probably "rebuilding" means "coding" for the appearance, performance, etc.

I don't see how you could make that assessment from what is actually being said in the video. For one thing, the Maus has been a playable vehicle in the game for ages now.

I'll believe it when I see it. The Wargaming.net guys certainly aren't short of a few $, so I suppose its possible if they want to throw a whole lot of money at this. But I seem to recall it was them (admittedly with the intel of someone else) who promised to find a load of Spitfires boxed up in Burma…….
