Is it too low?
Track and fender spacing looks too narrow.

It seems a bit like the idlers might be just a tiny bit too high - at the idler / sprocket it doesn't seem so bad.

You mean that the tank is not too low but the carrier rollers are placed too high.
You're probably very right.
Otherwise Italeri IS-2 model is very fine.

Nice looking Josif Stalin sabredog. The only thing that pops out to me is the tightness of the track. The real example has the upper track sagging over the return rollers. That could be that the tracks (Link and Length?)are too short.

It is more to do with the link and length tracks I believe.
The entire run over the return rollers is one long straight length. If they were "rubberband" tracks, a series of sags could have been introduced into the top run twixt each return roller.

I have found that most link and length tracks can be bent using finger pressure to show sagging. However, this may make them too short.
Some l&l tracks have preformed sag!

Modelkasten types of 1:72 tracks would be best, so we waiting for them.
