Hey guys,
I'm currently working on a T-80BV. And I was doing a little sculpturing on the turret with outside storage. Now it got me wondering, was it normal for Soviet tanks during the Cold War era to carry extra tarps, storage items on the hull of the tank? Or was that more of a WW2 deal? And if yes, can you fire me a link or some good references. Please and thank you.

I have pics from the Afghan and Chechen wars that show Russian tanks loaded with tarps, ammo crates, grenade boxes etc. What you're depicting isn't outside the realm of possibility.
