Hi Guys,
I want to build a similar scene.

Now I wonder how the tires of Trumpeter could make so flat? NI am not sure if putting the kits "rubber" tires on a hot surface brings the desired results.

You could do it with a saw and some putty work on plastic or resin tires, but if the tires are a rubber like compound I don't know if it would be possible, although some of the pictured flats have no bulge, and look simply cut off. Maybe some AM company makes resin flat tires for this vehicle?

I've had quite some success with this technique:

I'm sure I saw this on Armorama somewhere, but couldn't find the thread.

Is there a Hi-Res pics somewhere? Interesting technique.

If the tire will melt with heat , how about heating a flat piece of steel on the stove top and putting the tire on top of the heated metal . Might take some experimentation to get the technique right but for me that used to work on aircraft tires . Remember the Tamiya rubber band tracks , heat up the ends to join them , so should work with the rubber tires also . Just remember not too much heat . Be very conservative .

Castoff makes a resin set of 1/35 BTR-60 tires...and it also includes a flat tire.

Why don't you contact Castoff directly and see if Terry will make you up a set of 8 flat tires?
