Hi there,
After a long hiatus, I finally managed to finished one little vignette.
It is based on this photo from Pvt. Patrick Mac Donald, taken near the command post of the 29th infantry division somewhere in the area of Brest, France, in 1944.

This wooden guard stand followed the 29th command post during the whole European campaign, and her fate after 1945 is unfortunately unknown,

For the vignette i used one of the excellent Miniart figures, with a resin head and hands from and old italeri figure.
The M1 Garand is an spare from a Dragon kit.
The snow shoes are made from hardened thread, to resemble the texture of the straw.
Everything is painted with acrylics.
The guard stand is completely scratchbuilt in balsa wood.
Hope you like it

Cheers

Hola Pablo,

great idea and (probably) a great vignette!?

The problem is the size of the photos!! It's difficult to see details!

Maybe you could enlarge them..!?!?

Cheers

@Matt thanks, rather funny picture indeed.

@All I spent several hours looking for more information on the private, but unfortunately I was only able to find his name and the data on the disappearance of the wooden stand in 1945.

Cheers!
