Hello,

I am about to "button up" my interior and realized I am missing an important part from the Verlinden partial interior; they provide the basic, somewhat generic RT-524 (I believe) but no wires, which are easy enough to make and, more important, no hand sets (phone looking things) for the radio. I plan on doing an online search, but in the meantime I'll ask: Does anyone make these in 1/35? I'm thinking maybe Plus Models do? One in plastic came with the AFV kit, but I used that for the rear phone/comm. box.

Any help would be appreciated, as always.

Thanks,
Felix

Beautiful! Thanks Gino. Perfect. I don't know why I didn't think of Live Resin.

Thanks!

Hi Felix,

if you mean a Vietnam era Duster the Live-Resin ones are not right and completely different. For such vehicle and time frame you need an AN / PRC-25 Headset. I only know the ones included in the old Dragon Air Cav Figure set which are beautiful done. Missing in this set is only the head hanger which is molded on one helmet. Easily "reproduced" with lead foil or magic sculpt.

Bye, bye

keep in mind that a Duster used in Vietnam was a primary direct fire weapon system. The radio would be the typical PRC 25 or the next one bigger (number escapes me). Arty units (the Duster is arty) frowned on the idea of using radios during fire missions due to radio traffic and jamming issues alone. They would use the radio to communicate with an infantry squad right out in front of them, but it would also be offsite from the turret area. The section chief will tell you where to shoot, and he gets his advice from a couple other sources via field telephone. Too much information is as bad as no information! Often the folks telling you where to comes in from the rear telephone on the back of the hull if you looking at what your gonna shoot at (the norm). Their typical fire mission were reactionary and H&I.
