I am tring to back date a Tamiya T-55A to a T-54 and I need to know if the.......lets call it a periscope...... in front of the commanders hatch is small or stay the same size through the T-54/55 series


If it is small on a T-54 then I will need to cut the one off the Tamiya turret

Well, back dating T-55 turret to a T-54 turret requires a little more effort than just cutting off commander's periscope. Mostly because T-55 turret and T-54 turrets (both early and late production) have a completly different roof. Also T-54 early production turret has undercut at the rear and wider mantlet.
