It's not what you might think.... not that there's anything wrong with that.
I seek 1/35 figures of male, preferably WW2 USMC, but anything will do as a starting point.
No 'Arnolds', regular build to scrawny in standing relaxed poses. Styrene or resin, no white metal. I probably need about 6 figures and they will be individualized, so 6 of the same is fine. Please help me with a source my brilliant e-colleagues.

Miniart # 35141 DAK tank crew , seated ,bare chested in shorts . Master Box has a US Arty crew with a bare chested figure and the rest sans most uniform and equipment # 3577. Tamiya still has 25 pounder gun crew from eons ago ? Maybe not..

Here in Japan there seems to be no shortage of figures of bare-chested women, and they're typically very well rendered. Don't know if that helps you at all

No, but I can take you to a few hobby stores I wouldn't bring my wife along to.
Of course I only go for the armor kits and paints...
