Well done on the basics, good paint coverage, nice and smooth. Some thoughts in addition to the ones above:
Paint your headlight lenses silver
Drill out the main gun a bit, even if you just do a little with a sharp #11 X-Acto.
A dab of gloss black in the cupolla vision ports will make them look glazed.
Use a darker metal for the machine gun barrels so they don;t look so shiny.
Nitpicky here, this is Tamiya's kit, right? So the fault lies with them rather than you, but I don't believe the Brits used the sponson guns. Tamiya has never updated the molding or instruction sheet to allow for the easy removal of these.
Please take these suggestions as being constructive, since you've done a nice job overall.

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys... Must be the camera, because the thing isn't glossy at all. *lol* Thanks for the tips Lafleche! I'm going to bore out the barrel tonight... It was actually a pretty crappy kit (I am now working onthe Tamiya 88, which is MUCH nicer) by Tamiya...
And you could tell I had weathered it! WOOT! *lol* First attempt at it... Finally found that oil based burnt umber with thinner works great, and I'm comfortable with doing it.
Anyways, thanks guys. Any hints/suggestions are *GREATLY* appreciated!

Very nice for a 20 year hiatus. My one added pointer would be to paint the roadwheels black.

Welcome back to modelling Azarius. Nice to see an armor model as your first subject. Eventhough its an old kit, you made a nice job of it. Nice touch with the ribbon/flag on the ariel as well. Your mud looks great and different colours give a nice old and fresh mud look. The only thing to improve on this is have it more uniform .... behind the wheels on the hull and and on the tracks. Mud covers almost everything. A light dusting of tamiya buff or buff and earth on the hull and running gear would take care of this nicely. As some other have suggested, drilling out the guns ... even if its only with the point of your knife gives a better effect. Also suggested earlier is paint the lenses silver, and a spot of gloss or future will bring out the lights better.
As far as I can see, all the basics are looking good, and all these suggestions can still be touched up to improve on your existing work. These little tricks add so much to the finished vehicle. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Hey Sarge,
Funny my first model after 20 years (been back at it for a little over a year now) was a M3 Stuart also...
your work looks great... The idea already given by the crew here covers you well.
Fun to be "back in the saddle again"
Enjoy!
