Heya, Folks,
Managed to get my Tamiya Gama Goat built over a combo business trip/vacation and I'm thinking about how to pose it on a base...
Thought about painting it as a conjectural "What If" vehicle should the vehicle have actually been deployed to Vietnam, but now I'm thinking Grenada, a conflict/action I am old enough to remember, but honestly don't know a whole lot about...
I've Google searched for interesting pix of the Gama Goat in Grenada, but haven't found anything particularly suited for a diorama yet...
Anybody have any interesting pix of the Gama Goat in Grenada or possibly Panama? Frenchy, you out there...?
Also, I'm feeling LMS (Lazy Modeler Syndrome) and do not feel like mixing the suggested Tamiya colors for the MERDC scheme --- does Model Master have any shades that are suitable for this scheme out of the bottle?
Thanks in advance, folks!
With Regards and Aloha,
Johnny B.

Model Masters makes perfect matches for MERCD.
I don't remember the FS numbers off hand but if you get a TM of the pattern, the FS numbers are there. Basically base is Forest green, FS 30479? And he other main color is Field Drab. Then sand and black.
Beware - you have to go by the FS number because model master doesn't usually use the same name as the TM - I think real 30479 forest Green is called Dark Green or something by Model Master, etc..
I was in Panama and saw them running around. Do a search on Operation Just Cause and you may find some cool pics.

Aloha Johnny,
I had the same problem with my Gama Goat build. After several hours of reaserch, I found out that there is some good footage about Grenada on Youtuube.
