With some of the main subjects of WW I released or being announced, I wonder would be on the wishlist, too.
I start with:
1. A7V
2. LK I and II
3. K-Wagen
4. Machine gun teams of the involved nations
5. Some trench section dioramas

Hi David,
18 pdrs exist in plastic and resin. Emhar do a plastic version that with a bit of TLC gives a reasonable representation and Resicast do both the 18pdr and 18pdr with limber.
I'd like to see in:
Trucks - Dennison 2 Ton, Hallford 3 ton type A, a new LGOC Bus and/or Pigeon Carrier plus one with a GS Body, Napier 15cwt - in fact any truck from the large range of British manufacturers would be good.
Traction Engines (Steam trucks) - Fowler, Clayton steam wagon.
Artillery/Mortars - Plum pudding mortar, 6 inch 30 cwt and 9.2 inch siege guns.
Figures - Wounded soldiers and medics, machine gun teams, generic types for use in the trenches and rear areas, advancing infantry, tankers, officers, just about anything.
Narrow Gauge Railways - Track sections straight and curved, Simplex engine armoured and un-armoured versions, additional wagon types.
AM products =More inter-locking trench section types - decent lengths of barbed wire, duck board sections, screw pickets, ammunition and store piles, radio/telegraph equipment.
Tanks - New whippet with interior and engine
The list could be endless but I'll be happy if anything new comes along in 1/35 scale.

Interesting! Portugese troops on which side?
Posted: Friday, May 23, 2014 - 05:57 AM UTC
I would think a new Whippet and A7v would be the minimum. After that some of the field arty, the 18 and 13 pdrs, the 4.5 plus the French 75 and the German 105. Then some tranch mortars and MG crews.
Some of them have been done before, but none very well.
Once we're in fantasy land, then the Mk VIII, the K-Wagen, etc. etc.
Figures are always needed amd once they start to appear the AM guys will start putting out scening accessories to match.

Hi Paul,
I believe George Moore may be working on the 4.5 inch WW1 version as Resicast already have the WW2 offering. Nice kit.
They also have the 18pdr as a stand alone gun or with the limber.
That said I assume you would like these in plastic?
Good days for WW1 stuff lets hope for some more offerings.
Cheers

Personally I'd like to see British infantry (that will cover Aussies, Jocks, Cannucks,Kiwis with alternative heads) in advancing/combat positions, Lewis gun and Vickers teams. On a parallel German infantry advancing and in combat positions. Also dead and wounded figures as no one ever seems to do them especially dead ones and as WW1 was a slaughter, a WW1 advance would naturally be in a killing zone for MG's as we know from history from the Somme, Vimy, Passchendale etc. It would be nice to see some hand to hand figures like the Russians MB has released to show the brutality of taking a trench. I've got to admit I much prefer building figures for a dio so WW1 would be a joy to build

Folks,
ICM has already released British and German WWI troops a couple of years ago, and more recently the Austrian and Russian troops. I'm in the middle building a diorama of "Hilda" and Brigadier Elles taking the "blue" line trenches at Cambrai, and have been using three sets of the ICM German troops and two sets of the British troops to "populate" the diorama. I'm not very impressed with the poses of these figures, as the Germans are all 1918 "trench raiders", although they do have some nice WWI accessories including gas masks, KAR 98s,and model 1916 helmets (unfortunately without the armor plate lugs). The British troops are ok, but the poses are stiff, and there is only enough accessory gear for 3 of the 4 figures-- one being a grenadier with a soft watch cap, no weapon. BOTTOM LINE-- it looks like tanks, vehicles and artillery are on the way-- but the troops are limited, so some 1914 and 1917 Germans, some 1916 and 1917 Brits, and some Americans from 1918 would be really nice. Throw in some Italians for good measure too. Now if only Dragon and Wing nut Wings would get their WWI "ground pounders" going!
Very Respectfully, Russ

How about some French Foreign Legion figures, Colonial African troops and some Gurkha figs would be a treat also. Some figures loading and unloading vehicles, sandbags and trench support beams would be clever.
I agree about the other AFVs, artillery and figures.

Karl's Right, being mainly an infantry and artillery war we need a much greater range of figures both front line and rear supply troops. Not that trucks, guns, tanks and even aeroplanes in 1/35 aren't necessary, but for effective displays more figures are a must.
Hi Russ,
A few more troops are becoming available, a new set from Tamiya, attacking British Infanrty, new French, British and German troops from ICM along with equipment/weapon sets, so things are looking up. Model Cellar are set to do a few more figures and at some point I expect Resicast to produce some more figures.
All positive but the more the merrier.
Cheers
