Hi guys,

I m back in the forum since my lastest project.

I base my diorama from a picture frame of a battle scene from the marcket garden battle, when the british airborne troop were overrun by the german.

The kit is from Bronco and it dispicted the 6 pdr very well, the kit by himself is a artillery gun so very delicate and fragile.
The figurine are from bronco aswell with sone replacement head from Resicast.

Enjoys and let me know if you have any comments

Hi Antoine,

Excellent work, a really fine scene. Just one observation, has the loader just been shot? He looks to be falling backwards rather than leaning forward to put the shell into the breach.

Either way a very interesting looking scene, well done indeed.

Hi Antoine - wow - this is a beauty! I like the crisp edges between the colors, very nice! Yes - the composition itself too!

Cheers

Yep it's base on a picture frame that I found on internet about a british sergent that lose is live trying to defend is perimeter from a German attack in oosterbeck, so far I try to represent the moment before he died.

Yes, the artwork id displayed in Aldershot, but Lance-Sergeant Baskeyfield VC ran over the street and manned the second gun alone, all servants having been killed before!

Brave chap!

Hi,

great work indeed, just a small comment: the city is called "Oosterbeek", not "Oosterbeck". "Oost" means east, "beek" means stream.

cheers,

Not to mention that his right hand should be reversed so that he is supporting the shell.

Awesome! Meant to comment a lot earlier but never got to it. Love the whole scene, just read a bit more into it a month or so ago. Great composition of everything Nothing over-done or left out.

Hi guys,

That it, the dio is over finaly after couple o month of work.

I posted some picts with the separate items to show how much work I have done so far. Sorry for the picts quality but I still need to pratice with my camera.

Let start by the 6pdr by himself

Then all the small items that make the diorama and where I spend a long time to finish:

The base by herself without the gun and the other items but ready:

And for the end the final diorama with everything:

See you for a next project and if you have any question do not hesitate.

Cheer

Excellent diorama, compact and full of action. One minor point and it is minor, a bit more dust and dirt is needed. Those guns kick up a lot of dust. Otherwise, superb project.
