I'm interested in the Grex XGi and plan to use it as a general purpose, wide coverage AB (applying primers and base coats). I use AK primers and Tamiya acrylics. Should I get one with a 0.3mm nozzle or a 0.5mm nozzle?

I use a .3, but don't see any reason a .5 wouldn't do what you are looking for. With a .3, you achieve finer control for other purposes. I can achieve a 2mm line with my .3 Badger tip.

I, too, use a .3 tip in my airbrush. When you get comfortable with it, it is extremely versatile.
