Hi Guys, I don't know if there really is one of these out there, but I thought that this would be an interesting possibility.

Just started, I'm not going to do a review of Trumpeters Stryker, it probably has already been done. Below I reamed out the turret mount to fit Live Resins SAG Turret.

Here is the top view. The opening will accomidate the Live Resin turret nicely.

Below is a side view, I have finished the suspension and joined the top and bottom together .

It's have found that it's easier to joun them now , then add all the little parts. Less breakage.

Great what-if concept. The LR gun-tub should compliment the Stryker nicely. I have a medium term plan of doing the same with the Trumpeter Fennek

Not a minigun, but here is an interesting concept from China.

Looks cool. Strange they never did a Stryker AAA version. Another of my planned what-ifs....eventually!

There *almost* was... the Royal Canadian Artillery was going to field the MMEV; basically a Stryker with an ADATS turret. But when the MGS project was cancelled, so went the MMEV.

Almost, You have to remove the plastic flange that is used to hold the kit turret in place. The Live Resin Turret will then slip right in.
I'll have some assembly pics of the turret assembly coming up shortly.

The final four pics of the turret.

Now I have to assemble the Minigun.

Question, Does anyone know the color of the padding on the interior of the turret hatch ?
I'll have to start thinking about what color to paint the BEAST.
Let see Green, or Sand ?

It's a "what if" so you can use any colour you want....how about a black & grey "urban" camo scheme?

Hi Donald,

I just had a thought what is the height of the position of the minigun? I would worry whether it would clear the smoke launchers and the photo etched box at the front, not to mention the wire cutter(but that would have been an issue any way.)

Hi Paul,
Yeah it clears everything except the wire cutter, but that has a reinforcing plate on its back so no problem there
I'm working on the Mini Gun now. It's really a bear lots of little fidely pieces.

Could always do a little surgery and make the wire cutter folded down. That turret looks like a nice little kit in itself! Should look good on the Stryker.

The wire cutter is separate from its mount in this kit so it can be placed in either position.

I have the Minigun assembled (really tricky), I went with the Green color.
Below are 6 picks. I still need to do a little detailing on it.

You have to add the wiring to the gun as it is not included.
I used fine solder for the wiring.

Below shows the accessories that come with the gun. I not using the ammo & Battery boxes, as they would be inside the vehicle.

I'll have more pics when it's done.

And then Legend announce an ADATS turret. Perfect timing! See here
