Hi! I've been putting time in on the house in the photo, trying
to get a jump on it because its a scratchbuild.. figure it will take
a bit more time than the afv kit, so dont want to get caught
short on time..still some trim work, flooring and roofing to do,
but its progress.. may try and replace the center columns...
they look ok in real life but apparently they photo thicker....
maybe its true that the cam adds 10 pounds?
...................... comments and critique welcome

The house is coming along real well! I like the way the roof tiles look, and the brick work in the front came out real well. Keep the pics coming I can't wait to see it completed.
Happy Holidays

Chris,
this house impresses me big time.... why ? I'm impressed bij the way how you managed to convert a scrappy old picture into someting so realistic. The center colums do look a bit on the thick side, but like you said...it could be the camera.
About the colors of the house. Are these the final colours ? If they are, how did you determine on what colours to use ? No Crytics here, just curious.
Do you have any idea where this reference pic was taken ? We'll be going on a "RMG Field Trip" early 2004 and I would love to go to the spot that depicts your diorama...I could make a picture of the actual situation. It would be nice to see a "RMG Then and Now" situation.....

Impressive Chris,
You captured the look of the building well. Seems you really into the house-building stuff.
Any pictures of the StuH any time soon? I'm always on the lookout for StuG/StuH models.

Danny: the photo came from a Market Garden memorial site on line
and was just titled as outskirts of oosterbeek, so not much info.. the
color of the house was just a random pick.. the photo house appears
to be white- i'd like something a bit more colorful.. any ideas what
would have been found in that area and time frame? i may try a peach
color.. Jochem: i like your photos and they will be of great help as i
start the Stu after the first of the year.. i'm sure i will have questions
on the waffle pattern zim.... it looks incredible!!!

Hi Chris, the waffle zimm is by ATAK :-) i used it for the first time and it's great. You get a little "stamper" with the set so afterwards you can make the same pattern using putty on another StuG/StuH.
Greetings
