Dragon 1/35 Panther D Preium edition (6299) - Just picked this up cheapish.
I like the idea doing one of the Russian captured versions of a Panther. I'm having a bit of trouble tracking any photos of an "D" that fits this criteria - found a few images of other versions - any help would appreciated.
Alternatively I could do a what if based around these (A's?)

The russian vulneratibilities pics, show - to me -a D, with some extra box in the aft, and 2 head lights. The cupola, its hard to see, but appears to be an D.
About paint schemes, maybe a plain repainted with white stars no numbers.

Another question about this - there are options for a few parts. I think for an earlier and a late(r) version. The instructions show the optional parts but don't elaborate as to what ones are for which version.
If anyone has already built this kit could you offer some guidance - thanks in advance.

Some work in progress...
Made some headway on the turret over the weekend - hull still to Russian up. Currently deciding whether to go all green or do the two colour scheme I've seen on some pictures, green turret, yellow brown hull.

A bit more work done but lots more to do.
A bit tongue in cheek - a bit of fun on the side so to speak.

Hi Andrew,
Great looking build ... uh ... I mean the tank, not the owner of the undergarments! Great use of those figures ... uh ... I mean the kit, not the owner of the undergarments! LOL!
Can't wait to see the final result!

Some more work - mainly some painting of the tracks and adding the as yet unfinished skirting. Also the road wheels are now painted, German camo skill visible and a light dusting of muddy dust.
Am I alone or do other have problems with the combo of AK interactive worn effects and humberol matt varnish - they seem to react with one another to create a whitening effect. Is there a way to stop this. The only solution I have found is that the longer you leave it between applications the less extreme this is.
Is there a better product to protect subsequent layers of painting etc?

Tonight's session yielded the initial painting of the side skirts - looks a bit as I had just washed some kack off them.
