Hey all, does anyone know if the basic Modelkasten Tracks #SK-59 for a T-55, will fit the Tamiya Tiran 5...? They seem to be hard to find but look awesome at least to my eyes. If not the MK ones, what else would do the trick...? My kit vinyl units were badly warped and will not revive with repeated warming and futzing around with...! :-(

I'm a fan of Trumps T-55 plastic tracks, plus they're cheap. I'm sure Fruil's set looks nice too. MK tracks are way too fiddely and time consuming in my opinion.

I don't see any reason why they wouldn't fit. Yes, they can be bit fiddly and don't take heavy weathering like Friuls as solvents tend to melt those tiny track pins quite easily, but they do look great.

Hi Laurie,
I have also used Trumpeters track kits, as Erik said they are cheap and do the job. They have a little clean up as they are connected to the sprue on two points and have two injection points on the other side which need cutting off. But apart from that they are great.
Here two pics to help with your decision:
on the sprue

On the Tiran 6

Fruils are pricey but they look great.
