So, why was it a disappointment?

Hi Dani,
I have to agree with David, why the dissapointment? You did a wonderful job on construction and a superb job on the finish! I really like the watermarks and chipping. I'm sure the pictures don't do it as much justice as seeing it live. Congrats on a fantastic job!

Not too bad at all, I would be happy with this finish

I kind of have to agree with the others. It looks pretty good to me, especially since you claim amatuer status and it is such a small scale (1/72? since you list it in Braille). The only thing that stands out to me are the tracks. It looks like they didn't want to lay down right, maybe a bit too long?

I reviewed this kit here on Armorama but didn't start building it until much later. The body is very nice and generally went together nicely. The PE really enhances it. Unfortunately the suspension was a major disappointment as no matter how much I struggled, the road wheels don't want to line up properly. Worst of all was the rear idler which requires a LOT of reworking. The tracks were too long and in my opinion, a bit too thick. The guide horns do not want to fit between the road wheels and the track in general will need some work if it's ever to sit properly.

Dani, you have done a very good job considering the problems with the suspension. I commend you, especially for applying the Zimmerit to the turret. Your finishing is also quite good and effective.

Cheers,
Jan

Why was dissapointed?Because the entire running gear are ruined my final result-sorry ,thats my feeling.Tracks too long, sprockets wheels too heavy, the buckets and rear wheels too broad...
I claim my amatuer status because i did not expect from a kit, in this small scale to be perfect,and...i'm a lazy guy,i prefer the "easy way",just build and paint...and i've been sick for a while, and i didn't build nothing about almost nine months...
Jan,my friend, the zimm was very easy to made, with this german guy way:

I would have airbrushed it. But , it still looks ace! Try a 1/35 scale next time? That's 1/72.
