I am building the hobbyboss offering of this vehicle with the slat armor and wanted to know if that (this) particular vehicle was, is or has been painted in a desert scheme with the slat armor attached i have looked on several sites and gogled it too with no results that being said thanks in advance for any help

They remained in the NATO Tri-colour camo. But they did receive the Barracuda camo net which was sand coloured.

All the Leopard 2A6m's were delivered in NATO 3 colour, they were never repainted in tan. As mentioned they did receive the Barracuda HTR (Heat Transfer Reduction) kit soon after arriving into theatre.
