Hi;

Well this thing is Very Strange ! They reverse Engineered the Lower Hull, the Back is now the Front. And they did not convert too 152mm. It will be interesting too see how you Tackle the Hull, looks like A Good Conversion for the Tamiya T-72. I will be following this Build Closely.

CHEERS & GOOD LUCK; MIKE.

First side view drawn by me:

Please note that there are several errors yet, but I'm refining the design to be able to cut properly.

Hi DaCaserna, nice scratchbuilding!

I have one question though, what material do you use for your build? Is that styrene? If so, how do you cut it? I have laser ploter at work and I can't use it for cutting styren because it totally melts the edges and not cuts.

Cheers,
Greg

An ambitious project! I'll be watching, to see how it turns out.
At some point, after the 1979 Revolution, the Iranian ground forces seem to have discontinued use of the national roundel emblem on their vehicles.

Hi!

I use the styren for laser cutting. You need to adjust your machine to reduce power and increase the speed.

Redrawing the frontal part of the Raad-2 based on a design of the T-72 chassis.

The pink line is the correct draw.

Hi;

Nice Work !! I like It. It will be very Interesting too see how you Tackle the lower Hull. Its very Smart too use the Old DML kit as your Trial Hull, then I would try and get Hold of the Trumpeter Copy of the Tamiya kit. Then it would Help you and be Less Expensive, Just A Little Suggestion. I Hope You Don't Mind, keep up the Good Work. Looking Forward too seeing more !!!!

CHEERS, & GOOD LUCK; MIKE.

Mike, the big problem is that the Raad-2 does not use the chassis of the T-72.

It uses the same engine, same suspension, same wheels, but the chassis is different.

Of course I'll use some features of the T-72 chassis to base myself in time to build the hull low, but I can not use the chassis of the T-72 and modify.
