This prototype WWII era Soviet tank destroyer was a force of one. Literally.

thanks for the video, Jim. That lack of rifling is disappointing. I see that they included PE insert for plastic barrel but it looks a bit oversized. Let's hope somebody does the replacement quickly!

Jim, many thanks for another very informative video. I think I might find it quicker to get the kit than grind through the Soviet tech tree to get to the Object 704 Looking at the instructions I would take it that the rifling (PE5) is for both the plastic and metal barrels.
Many thanks for all the effort you put into the site
cheers
David

Looking at the instructions I would take it that the rifling (PE5) is for both the plastic and metal barrels.
I will be able to tell that when I get the kit, but it looks to me that plastic with PE5 is alternative to metal. Because the arrow from PE5 goes to plastic and not to both.
In principle it is an easy aftermarket fix as there are ML-20 barrels from several brands, but they all have muzzle brake and the barrel is thinned to fix it. So, basically any company with ML-20 barrel can make ML-20SM by just not removing metal in the area where they put muzzle...
