I love this vehicle/gun combination! The equipment, the figure and display base are very nicely done as well. The ground cover with subtle flowers -- very nice.

VERY COOL!
Echoing mike; I LOVE this combination of vehicle and towed gun and the cargo. Very sexy, as David said. It hangs together well and you have done a splendid job on almost everything! The key being "almost" I'm not laughing at YOU
There is one thing which really jumps out at me with your RSO... Your road wheels. The RSO had stamped all-steel wheels. The roadies set, as you correctly have them, between the paired horns of the track. So... there would be NO paint left on the sides of those wheels where those horns rubbed and scraped along! And being as this beast is not "showroom new"...
You can probably, with either a small brush and some powdered pencil "lead" or other graphite powder, or some well-thinned "steel" color paint, fix these wheels up pretty quick and easy. It would add a little detail sizzle and realism to what I think is already a very very nice build and presentation!
Whether you do that or not, it's a great job of a neat combo. Way to go! and Thanks for sharing this!

Perhaps I have missed something? I see that you did clearly "steel-paint" the "bearing face" of those wheels in direct contact to the track-surface. What I am "pointing at" is that the vertical sides of the "tire-portion" of those roadies would also be well-worn and "paintless".
Cheers!

Oh, yeah. I'll echo the above post!
Seeing this RSO build has once again caused me to pull my Dragon RSO w/ PaK 40 out and shuffle around in the baggies!
As the RSO had all-steel roadies... perhaps this would fit right into that "Steel Wheels" campaign now in-build...!

Lovely pictures show a great result but how was the kit going together?
I'm not talking about rivet-counting or anything like that just was the kit easy to go together or were there any problems?
This is the last of the RSO's I need to get to have them all.
I do like yours.
Jeff

Thank you! The main problem was that the doors don't fit in the cab openings. To get the door closed I had to trim quite a lot material off the cab. Otherwise the kit went together few problems.
