I am planning to model an M1A2 Abrams with one of the sprockets removed for maintenance. Does anyone know what the hull mounting looks like? (I think it is a conical shape. None of the kits seem to show this correctly, presumably because they expect you to be fitting the sprocket in place. On the sprocket itself, would there be bolt holes showing when this part is off the vehicle?

Thanks. I had already come across this particular photo, but it shows the idler mounting exposed, not the sprocket.

Slight confusion there ... apologies!
The original reply was to Rob (regarding the idlers, rather than the sprockets).
Yes, DJ, I presume they are sprocket mountings ready to be installed.
Many thanks to you both.

Actually, that was the other question ... how does the sprocket itself appear once off the vehicle?

Paul,
The back side of the sprocket looks like the front side without the lightening holes and recessed a little deeper.
