Sorry all I know its an aircraft

I know we are mostly armor people, but I have been hunting for 2 days on how to make a tank muzzle blast in 1/35 and just found this in my search today, this has got to be one of greatest dioramas I have seen in my small years in the hobby. PS if anyone has any tips on making a tank muzzle blast or artillery in 1/35 I will be greatful.

You could try airbrush some brushed cotton or paint expanding foam, in a similar manner. That is one awesome diorama!

Hey Eugene,
Not an easy task. The best way for everyone seems to be using cotton swabs or balls. You have to stretch it to give the right look. Watered down clear paint, like smoke and orange added will help. Great dio in the link. Looking at it I think he's done basically the same, but most likely added a couple of LED lights to the bottom to give it that great effect. Going to keep that in mind for future reference.

Didn't even think of cotton swabs, I have seen the flame throwers and such just not a blast from a tank or arty, I want to show my wespe or 17pdr in action firing. Thanks for the help.

I tried this: again using cotton, but shaping it on a length of thin wire for an armature, and tapering and shaping the cotton with water/white glue mix. Taper it to a point and leave a bit of wire sticking out from the thicker end to glue into the gun muzzle. Paint with white - yellow - orange - red, and bits of black; and voila! (I hope your attempt looks better than mine!)
