one of the ads that pops up is for ww2sale.com. as a canadian soldier i'm upset that a photo of a modern cdn gunner is used for an ad selling WW2 german uniforms.
Can it be removed till they change the picture?

If you are talking about the adverts on the right hand side of the page, they are generated by Google, I am unsure if we can stop specific adverts in that area.

If it really bothers you, just use a pop up blocker with your browser and you won't see it anymore (that and the other ads).

Cheers,

Christophe

I have a pop-up blocker. It does not block ads, on this site. And, from experience this applies to almost every site.

Works for me using the Firefox browser with adblocker, on this and every other site I visit.

If by 'pop ups' you mean ads that appear in new windows, and not the blinking side bars, if you get these all the time, it is not websites like armorama that send you these, you have unwanted malware that has glommed onto your browser, and serves you these ads regardless of what web sites you visit.

download the free version ofMalwarebytes, run it, and you will find out a thing or two.

Ian

Most of the ads on this site pay to be there - as Jim puts it 'they help to keep the lights on'. The large banners on the right are by Google. If you hover the mouse over the one you don't like you should see a cross in the top right. Click on that and you can tag it as 'inappropriate' ' repetitive' or 'irrelevant'.
I guess the first option applies in the case.

course, if you subscribe, and pay 2L per month, the side bar ads disappear.

Nope. I'm strictly a Google user. I've had too many compatibility issues with other providers. I can deal with the ads.
