Can it be removed till they change the picture?

If you are talking about the adverts on the right hand side of the page, they are generated by Google, I am unsure if we can stop specific adverts in that area.

If it really bothers you, just use a pop up blocker with your browser and you won't see it anymore (that and the other ads).

I have a pop-up blocker. It does not block ads, on this site. And, from experience this applies to almost every site.

If by 'pop ups' you mean ads that appear in new windows, and not the blinking side bars, if you get these all the time, it is not websites like armorama that send you these, you have unwanted malware that has glommed onto your browser, and serves you these ads regardless of what web sites you visit.

If you hover the mouse over the one you don't like you should see a cross in the top right. Click on that and you can tag it as 'inappropriate' ' repetitive' or 'irrelevant'.

course, if you subscribe, and pay 2L per month, the side bar ads disappear.

Nope. I'm strictly a Google user. I've had too many compatibility issues with other providers. I can deal with the ads.
