Hi all,
I'm currently doing a Tamiya Jeep, converting it to a SAS desert Jeep.
I've found some good sites to help with the conversion but I can't seem to find a good one for basic Jeep info, geared to what we modelers what to know.
You know, info on the little storage boxes behind the rear wheels, what the dashboard looks like up close. That kind of stuff.
Can anyone out there help me out with a good link?
I appreciate the help.
Thanks,
Craig

I've got an MBI Jeep book. It has some shots of restored WW2 Jeeps. Don't know how much use they would be for an SAS Jeep though.

You can not go wrong if you spend a little time clicking through the links available here:

Hi guys,
Ian, I did as you suggested but I wasn't able to find anything as detailed as I was looking for.
But I'll keep this in mind for future projects. Thanks.
Sabot, that might be of some use to me as what I'm looking for is basic jeep info. I'll search that book out if I can't find what I'm looking for elsewhere. Thanks.
Kencelot, I'll have to look thru that link and see what I can find there. Thanks.
To all, I did find an older copy of MMIR that has a great article on an SAS Jeep by Joe Porter. This may end up being the best reerence I've found yet. Lots of great photos of his work without paint so you can see what he has done. It even has a shot of the dashboard and those tool bins I mentioned .
So, thanks again to you all for the help.

I got a chance to look around some more and I found this site.
It's in French, which I can't read a word of. But it has lots of good photos of SAS jeeps.
