I just noticed the [Click To Sort] option on the Latest Posts page. It makes it real easy to quickly sort through the various forums I follow by lumping all the various forums like Armor Talk, Spaceship Talk and General Modeling topics together. Kind of cool, thanks Jim.
I had been just clicking on the Forums page and looking for the unread pink folders, but this allows me to see all the threads I haven't read on one page.

I'm getting a cant bookamrk page to conserve server resources error ???

That's not an error. It's intentional.
There is a cached version of the latest posts page you can bookmark. Just not the dynamic up-to-the-minute one.

Alright I'm braindead
(Later I'll be drunk too Rotor - New Years Eve & Crown Royal)
Where / How do I use "Click to Sort" ???
Must be hitting the wrong spot if I'm getting a 'by design' thing instead of what everyone thinks is so cool
Happy New Year to ALL

If you go to the Latest Posts page and look above the forum names you will note the [click to sort] text. Click the word Forum next to that for the majic.

Thanks Jim
I can see the word "Forums" is hot and is a hyperlinked b/c it is underlined.
Thats what I click (the word Forums) that returns the warning about attempting to bookamrk that page.
The URL it returns when i see that warning is
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=PostBoard&file=latest_dynamic&selorder=ordtp&show_ot=
Click to Sort isn't hot and neither are the other column headings.
FWIW
Its IE6 SP1 128bitSSL on XP Pro
I do have google toolbar w/ popup blocker active
is it me, or am i still in the wrong spot???
Thanks for your help and patience...

Same results after telling google toolbar to allow site popups while at armorama.com ???
AND
I get same results when I select "Yesterday" "Last 24 hrs" etc
at top of the page, the headers at that part.
Weird???

It doesn't popup a window. It may be that your setup is feeding the wrong HTTP referrer info to that dynamic post page. Can you click any of the other sort options (language, last day, etc)? See if they work and if not then it's definately a referrer issue. That page (to prevent bookmarking) verifies that you are coming FROM a page on www.armorama.com. Maybe it's related to Norton Security?

What order for threads within the forum is used? I know that the forums are listed alphabetically, but for Armor Talk, it seems like they are randomly organized.

YES
Its Norton Internet Security, yet again.
Its their "Privacy Control" feature that 'blocks sending of Web Browser Information"
Its not a granular control that I can tel, will look for an override.
Interesting behavior.
I'll write a report for Symantec.
Good memory Jim, I forgot to turn that off and test.
THANKS
Now that I can see it, what a cool feature
Yeah ALL the protected links on that page barfed.
if you want to grep the apache logs for my referrer and any client requests, i always come from the IP 68.184.48.2
dmz.mmcenters.com
THANKS :-)
