Hi Gang,
with the ongoing Gaza crisis, I wonder what`s the difference between the currently used Achzarit and the "early" model eleased by Meng Models?
TIA

It seems that they currently use Mercava tracks and roadwheels, but that's just off the top of my head and there may be other differences.

Not sure about the tracks but the road wheels are different in later types.
Also, commander's raised cupola and Kat'lanit (leathel - female form) Samson RCWS.
I suppose there are more visual differences but these are the ones I noticed.

Hi Guys;
I think the version you are referring too is the vehicle Based on the T-55 and used its running gear and tracks.
CHEERS; MIKE.

Early versions did, later versions had Merkava road wheels and the RWS. I'm sure there are more differences, but those are most visible.

Affirm that, PanzerArt do a nice range of affordable and accessable Merkava road wheels, includes drive sprocket and idler.
Also, there is a photo around of an Achzarit with "droid". If you're interested, I will find it and post here.
best regards,
Kylie

Hi Kylie thanks for this. I guess that when Merkava roadwheels are installed also the Horstman suspension is attached?
For those who are interested in pictures, I have an Israeli site on my favorites bar that provides pics of IDF vehicle and Israeli police and emergency services.

Good to see the NAMER heavy APC in numbers. MENG Models do you see them?

Hi all,
The Achzarit use the Centurion road wheel and the Merkava or Batash track. I have not seen any with Merkava road wheels, but that does not mean they do not use them.
Paul.

If Meng`s Achzarit is an "early" model, perhaps we can hope for a "late" model with Centurion roadwheels? Keep your fingers crossed.

Nope, just a plain ol' cruel lady with Centurion wheels and a dog house commander's copula. Still, a good example of a current Achzarit.
As for the AEF interior? You first.

Your results look good, and from what I can see in the pics, the AEF set doesn't look bad.
