Hello all,
I'm in the process of building Academy's Magach and I have run into a wee issue...
When you fit the turret onto the hull the underside of the rear bustle hits the rear deck
Have I messed up or is it a known fit issue?

That is not your fault. It is a known issue with Academy M-60s.
I ran into the same problem

same prob with my Gal Batash, the rear underside of the turret comes into contact with the forward edge of the engine deck. the turret'll sit flat if turned at an angle. after however long one would think academy would.ve caught this and at least corrected it for the Gal Batash. still, despite this it's still a nice tank and worth working up

The cure for this is I believe a shim of plasticard on the underside of the turret from memory.

They must have had the DML design team working on that!

Hi Brian, yes I have been there too , this is how I sorted the the problem:
Chop the lugs off the turret and add a plastic card disk to the hull. You'll need at the most 1.5mm thick.
Paul
P.S. I am still building mine, and had an issue with the forward towing lugs parts K37. If you add them as the instructions say, then the add-on armour M37 won't fit. I just filled the holes for K37 and will sort them later

Maybe DML recruited their designers for the Black Plague line from Academy (considering that the original Academy M60 has been around for quite some time ...) ;-)
