looks good. lots of nice action in both of the dios. only thing that really caught my eye was that in the first dio the terrain looks a little flat. maybe its the picture i dont know. only thing i'd do would be to put a little bit of variation in the elevation next time. thats just a personal preference though. good job!

These dio look good, you seem to have the same problem I do of trying to get photos to do your dio's justice. I prefer the second dio myself and like the layout of it. What kit did you use for the guns, I like the poses of the gun crew.

hey lest'

great stuff with the dios - i like the layout of the 2nd, it looks great - a suggestion would be that if theres been alot of firing etc that perhaps you could scatter about some empty ammo crates, and some more spent shells? gives a feeling of a more frantic nature to the situation. the 1st dio is great - what scale is it? ive not done anything of a smaller scale yet, mainly stick to 1/35 - was it difficult to do? did you use much referance?

WOW thanks for comments guys, in regards to meissens comments, yeah that dio is very flat, i will fix that problem in future dios, just like i did in the second one of the artillery base, lol. in regards to REMEARMR'S question, the Artillery kit was a revell de kit i got years ago, the kit is simply called ww2 german artillery, i believe they are type 88 artillery guns. in regards to Alpha's qusetions, they are both 1:72 scale , there are two shells right next to the gun, as if they just fell out when they reloaded it, as you can see there is also that pile of shells, that shed is filled with ammo crates but ya cant see that very well, there is an ammo crate next two the guy sitting down holding the shell, but yeah i could have put more stuff into it i suppose, i have no idea what kit the famo is, lol, i bought that when i was like 5, and i lost the box, but still had the kit, but yeah thanks for the comments again, anyone else is welcome to tell me what they think, cheers and happy new year

Nice looking stuff.

I've yet to try a diorama, maybe it's time.

Keep up the good work.

Overall the composition is nicely done. Even more impressive is the fine job you have done in painting 1:72 scale figures... that is WAY to hard for my old eyes, even with my magnifiying headset!

As for areas of improvement:

a) On the field howitzer wheels there appears to be heavy mold seams that need to be scraped or sanded.

b) Perhaps some "wheel imprints" on the earth near the gun itself (possibly there, but not visible from the photo.)

c) Add some "signs of occupation" near the hut... perhaps some chairs or table, old newspaper, or perhaps meal crates?

The mold seam seems to run along the whole gun and barrel as well. Not sure of the gun, but it looks like a seam to me. Also drilling out the end of the gun would help.
The dirt on these wheels is only on the bottoms and the rest of wheels are the same colour as the gun. With a bit more colour and some light weathering the gun would have more life.
Great work on the figures. At this scale it must be really hard to get any details in.

Yeah there are alot of seemlines, i mustve forgotten about em, maybe i will fix that up, good idea with the gun barrel, if only i can find a small enough drill, also a good idea with the "signs of occupation" i will make some newspapers and stuff, maybe some small food tins, i will weather the gun a bit more too, the pics arent that good, there are scrathes and some light weathering on the gun shield, and there are wheel imprints along the ground, again the pics, ok well i will have a crack at fixing those things up, thanks guys, cheers

Great looking dios! Even more impressive that they are in 1/72 scale. Just one minor thing I noticed. The grass looks too green considering the muddy terrain in both cases. I would suggest using a wash made of the ground color, thinned to the consistency of water, and using a wide paintbrush spread the wash across the grass. The material will absorb the pigment and get rid of the bright green color. I used this technique on a previous M1A1 dio with great success. Other than that, everything looks great.
