Here's the Tammy GMC with a mix of Nemrod and Warriors crew and about 200 Tamiya gas cans in the back (don't ask). I worked on this during the fall and set it aside a few months ago. I just finished it up in the last few days.
great kit is all i have to say.
I will be mounting the truck on a mirror to show off the chassis.

OK pack it up very carefully and I will send you my addi so that you can ship it to me for my birthday.LOL #:-) My hats off to you it came out looking great. I like the figure standing on the running board. All it needs is a base or small dio to bring it totally to life. Bravo

Hi Nate. That's a good build and the figures and load really make it. I have two very small things to mention.
ONE....the tyres are too black. I would give a light mist spray of a light browm (tamiya buff) on the wheels and under the guards and the front of the fuel tank. It just needs a little more than is there now.
Two...... the passenger has his weoapon in his hands and yet I think I can still see another weapon in the holder by the seat. It would be better if this rifle was not there.
other than that a good kit and as Animal said I would be happy to display it with mine too.

Excellent job. Those jerry cans alone was a tremendous amount of work. Three cheers to you

Really a nice Job there Nate! Love the 'motion' to it and like Animal says, it needs a nice little (dirt road) base to 'kick it up a notch'.

Well done.
I am a new modeller on this forum, I am writing from Italy and actually I am involved with same GMC model.
My only suggestion is to set truck on a diorama, I think that greater feeling can be obtained while proper environment.

Since there really isn't a lot of opportunity to hang things from an overhead rail on a tank I usually try and hang something from the tarp rails whenever I have a soft top. Sometimes it's a backpack hanging, sometimes it's just a tarp drapped over the rail.

thanbks for the input guys. I would argure (and I know Cliff agrees) this is one of the best Tamiya kits out there, a real gem to build.
Cliff: You are correct about the duplicate M-1s on the passenger side. I had cut up one ot the gun holders so it was empty but It frankly looked like crap. But luckily I had a spare and now use the excuse that "he's just a guy hitching a ride."
I had orginally intended on using the cab cover but found it wouldn't fit with the Nemrod figures, so as with all things models I find an alternative (not using it) and moved on!!! Additionally the tarp was a late addition becuase I used to may OD variations on the gas cans and it looked like a checker board, and again it looked like crap. So I improvised.
I mounted it on a simple wood base (again the mirror idea fell by the wayside this morning). I'll work up to a dio sooner or later.
Thanks for all the input!!! Happy New Year!!!
