Absolutely worth the wait Tread!! The wife assures me that since I spent the better part of the day taking down Christmas decor she would help me take pics of the Sumbo to post tomorrow (Saturday). I am truly sorry about the delay but if I go to work to pick up the camera I know how to use I am libel to get stuck there for three or four hours. Bear with me....

Howdy Fella's,
First, many, many thx go out to our SUPERB Gunniemeister for allowing the War Wagon to slip under the proverbial 'radar'....(I told you guys he's the best...and fair, what a combination! :-)).
Additionally Gunnie, your 'Wolverine' is aptly named (as usual you've done your 'homework'...so you're aware that pound for pound there is NO other beast as fierce as the Wolverine'!......fact all.)
Also, even though you're uncharacteristically complaining about the Sheridan (for the record, I'm not a big fan of the Sheridan), you're still making it look good!
Goes to show, even a bad kit in the hands of a good modeler can still......SHINE.
To animal: Many thx for the compliment's animal!! Coming from you, it means alot. I know the photo is really bad (working on that ), but, seeing as you are such a talented scratchbuilder, your input on ' Elvis' carries alot of weight........so, thank you.
To GIB: Your Boomer looks superb as well! I'm extremely happy to have you cross the finish line. You have also been a driving force here on the thread......can't wait to see your other 'works'...
To Dav: Don't sweat it, this whole thing was supposed to be fun!.....Believe me, I understand the frustration factor. Just keep at it, and think about T2K '04, or you can also consider one of the T2K spin-off Group Build's I am planning on launching in the near future! Complete with their own citations or awards.
To Jacques: You my friend, I have to thank for 'pushing' me to get the bloody pics posted of the War Wagon! Your simple instructions are what pushed me to let go of the frustration and simply 'Think Posting'..........very Karmic......
Besides that, your work is inspirational to us all!
To keenan: MANY thx for the compliment sir! After all the countless hours, and work that went into the War Wagon, I feel like a hollywood 'Mom'....I'm very 'sensitive'. Kidding aside....Thx.
And as to your 'Sumbo'.......well, that's already part of the BluFor gang...isn't it!?! :-)
All in all, I am absolutley PROUD, and happy as a Loon to have been associated with ALL OF YOU, during this superbly great Campaign!!!!!!! It has not only been a wonderfully fulfilling experience for me, but also an elevating participatory event!
My personal thanks go out to ALL of you!!!
Regards,
Tread.
Here's hoping to see you in the spin-off's !!!!

Tread: THAT IS ONE HECK OF A GUNTRUCK! Only emoticon that can sum it up is this:
Fantastic! I love the "Elvis"! It'll surely make every enemy soldier or crew member to pee in his pants when they see this one coming out of a street corner! BTW, thanks also for the comments.
GunTruck: I love that BMD! Especially the winterized scheme. How'd you do that? I plan on winterizing the T-34/105 as well. Damn fantastic!
Animal: Damn good builds as usual! I can't wait to see your other entries for TW2K:04!
Jacques: I've said too much about yours already hehehehe
And finally Sphyrna: That tank destroyer of yours is terrific! Splendid conversion! I love it! Will make Soviet crews pee in their pants!
It's 2004! Time to do some tanks for Korea and the Middle East! Now, where did I put my Merkava III... I have great plans for it... great plans... MWUHAHAHAHAHA! :-)

Again, good work to all. This campaign seems to have really been a inspiration.
Now to get Gennady to finish that Black Eagle!
And Tread, glad to see you did not smash the computer before figuring out how to post pics!

O.K. Fellas,
I promised a 'dio' about the War Wagon, so here's a wee ditty.
As I've said before, the War wagon was originally concieved as a 'standalone' vehicle. Capable of defending itself completely! In the T2K ' world' a standard HEMTT 16.5-Ton PLS truck was used from the beginning, in the real' world', an Italeri 1/35th scale HEMTT M-977 10-Ton, eight (8) wheeled cargo truck was reconfigured into the larger 16.5-Ton, ten (10) wheeled PLS version.
Working from front to back:
The standard driver/passenger cab was retained, though it was up-armoured and Dragon Wagon style steel visor plates were added to the front windshield. A front 'skirt' or drape of Kevlar has been mounted below the front of the cab to protect the road wheels.
Behind the front cab, the shrouding around the main engine has been removed and in it's place a second, auxilary cab mounted just above the engine itself (the engine is now housed within the integral 'dog house' of the passenger cab. Behind that is an armoured platform designed to raise the Avenger manned turret for protection from airbourne threats both fixed and rotary winged! Below the raised area, and above the two front wheels is another flexible Kevlar 'drape' designed to protect all four road wheels from the side, while allowing complete field of movement (a difficult thing at best). Tow spare wheels are mounted on either side of the raised area for easy on and off. The second, or auxilary cab houses the EWS, plus a good portion of the C&C / Communications electronics. (you can't see from my wonderful photograph, but I have shaved the standard dashboard of all instrument detail, removed the steering wheel and operating pedals, shifting mechanisms, and replaced them with scratchbuilt flat screen panels inset in the dash, plus full size CRT style screens mounted on either side of the 'dog house' (these were carved from a solid section of Basswood) and a bank of electronics both in front and behind the two occupant positions). This cab also has the up-armoured configuration complete with additional visor plates.
Moving on to the rear, we have the standard HEMTT cargo bed that has been slightly reconformed to accept the now side-mounted access door. Mounted within the bed is a stretched M163 hull (stretched approx. 4.5 feet) and reconfigured interior. Where the engine used to be is now ammo storage for the top mounted 20mm Vulcan Gattling Gun which is capable of handling both Anti-Aircraft defense, as well as dual duty as an Anti-Personnel supression device.
Next to it, also housed atop the stretched M163 hull, is a 76mm cannon in a turret taken from a Saladin armoured car. This cannon can fire all known 76mm ammo, and is designed to eliminate all APC's and light-armoured BT's. Complimenting the 76mm cannon, is a nice little addition pilfered from a Russian BMP that had more testosterone flowing than he had brain cells. A Quad bank of ATGM Kornet missle tubes. These babies are incorporated into the War Wagons defense system to handle all of the 'big beasties' that might come here way! The Kornet is known to penetrate any known additional upgraded armour that has yet been fielded!
Housing both of these 'bad boy' turrets is the stretched M163 hull that has it's own additional 'EEAK' style angled armour on the upper portion of the hull, and 1/2" steel plating below. The steel plating is draped low enough to protect the majority of the 16.5-Ton road wheels from side assault by both small arms fire and schrapnel impact.
Air conditioner air inlets/exchange units are mounted on the extreme rear of the hull for occupant comfort. The M163 ' troop' compartment can carry a standard compliment of eight (8) fully armed soldiers, not counting the gunners for either turret. An additional set of two (2) road wheels are mounted on the rear of the hull itself. Directly below the rear spare road wheels is an upgraded towing point to connect 'towed' arrays units behind the War Wagon so it can 'field' whichever defensive/offensive armament platform HQ so chooses.
This concludes todays wee 'bio'.

Howdy matt,
From the clarity of your photos it looks like you've borrowed my camera to take the pictures! From what I can tell from the spacing on the road wheels, it's a T-55, right? It looks like you've added some interesting applique armour, both around the turret and to protect the aux. fuel drums...
Good work.

Ooooooh, keenan........I just LOVE your Sumbo dude!!!! Excellent work there my man. Your paint work is nice as well. I can really picture this thing rolling down the street.
You need to expand your storyline concerning the Sumbo, I can imagine a very 'colourful' crew manning her!
Tread,
