If so,
is it a standard weapon? If not, is it a personal choice on what weapon a crewman can carry???

It seems to me that it is the pistol IMI jericho 941 which is statutory

No Pistols for anyone. Standard rifles which are issued by the unit. Almost no variety.

Only Lt. Colonels and up, and recon/SF units carry pistols.
