This is my question, does this tank have zimm? If so, what number tank is it, and does it have an escape hatch instead of a pistol port? where is this tiger based?
thanks!

You just dont want to do that zimm. do you? Ha ha, it really aint that bad.
It looks to me like this beast does have zimm. Tank# I don't know.
location: Eastern front, or Ardennes. Looks almost like in a tank museum or something out doors.

Yep, zimm.
It's a "later mid or late Tiger" (gets damned confusing!) = in general; "Panther style" hatch, no smoke grenades, centered headlight, reinforced mantlet - looks like the single site hole.
If it were a "final Tiger", it would have steel wheels vs. the tires.
Escape hatches replaced one of the two pistol ports found on the "initial Tiger" with the appearance of the "early Tiger" mfg changes in late 1942.
Look here for a simple chart of Tiger I prod line "tweaks", which is why modeling Tigers can be a challenge...

I'd bet Eastern Front.

Well, she definatly has zim!!!! The signs point to it being a Mid Prod. Tiger so the hatch would be there instead of pistol ports. I'd recommend the itelri kit if you want to cheat on the zimmerit, but the cavalier zimerrit will fit both the Academy and Tamiya offering. As for other zimmerit products, stay away from verlindens resin aplique zimmerit it just plan nasty, i havn't tried their PE though. Atak has a nice applique set for the tiger as well. the choices are out there you just have to choose what you want to use. STUG
PS I recommend R&J PRoduction Zimmerite paste it doesn't effect the plastic so if you make a boo you can easily remove it and start again.

I don't think that puppy is at a tank museum....note the opened gunners hatch. I concur with the Zimmerit
