Hi Gang,
the pics from Operation Protective Edge showed a "new" mortar carrier on M113. Did the IDF ever use M106 mortar carrier or just M125? The "new" vehicle is a M106/M125 with a 120mm mortar system similar to the one on Stryker MC.

The IDF have been using 120mm mortar carrier versions of the M106 for 30+ years.

They fitted a 120mm Soltam mortar (Finnish design originally I think?).

Not seen anything close-up from the current unpleasantness, but it's possible/probable that they may have fitted a newer 120mm to the vehicles.
