Hey Everyone, I have another question that I wanted to ask out of curiosity. Did Russia ever deploy the T90 anywhere? I know it was stationed in the Far Eastern Military District. What did the T90 do in that District? Finally, what is the difference between the T90 and the T90A? Thanks for your help everyone and sorry if this is a lot that I am asking.

A small number of T-90 seems to be used in Dagestan war, and one of them was hit by some RPG without consequence for crew.
I don't have any information about others T-90's combat actions.

Synthetically, the main difference between T-90 and T-90A is the turret.
T-90 has casted turret, derived from T-72B turret.
T-90A has a new welded turret.

I have seen a few expert say that the T-90 was actually not used in Dagestan and it was T-72s instead. They also say the closest to combat was some T-90s were sent to the districts near Georgia after the 2008 war in case hostilities broke out again. Check out the Russian forum for more info.

thanks for your help everyone. I guess it's safe to say that the T-90 has seen some limited action, in Eastern Europe, at the very least. I was wondering if someone could tell me what the difference is between the regular T-90 and the T-90S. I had a feeling that the T-90S might be used by India, but I cannot be sure. It's a bit off topic, but any help I can get will be greatly appreciated.
