Hello:
I'm building a Dragon Early Jagdpanther. I read that the first vehicles deployed in Normandy were stripped for the external stowage by their crews, placing all at the vehicle's rear, including the cleaning rod's tube. I want to replicate that, but I haven't found pics that shows where the stowage was placed.
Hope someone can help with some reference pics.
Best regards.

Hi Dan,
This sketch was assembled from the original sketches that the unit commander, Hauptmann Noak, of the 654th sPzJgAbt did with his technical report suggesting that the stowage be changed by the manufacturer.
This illustration is found on page 315 of Karlheinz Munch's "schwere Panzer Jager-Abteilung 654" and was scanned by someone else and posted online years ago, so I only feel a little guilty about putting it up here.
If you're able to get it, I highly endorse Munch's book:
Munch, Karlheinz. The Combat History of schwere Panzer-Jager Abteilung 654. J.J. Fedorowicz Publishing Inc. Winnipeg, CN 2002. ISBN 0-921991-60-6
It contains the full translated text of Hpt. Noak's technical report, as well as just about every known photograph of the Jagdpanthers of this unit. Its main focus is on the detailed combat deployment, often detailed on a day-by-day basis. It has 663 pages and hundreds of photos, maps and illustrations.
HTH and happy modeling!
