These are really quite nice.
If I may be permitted to make a couple of suggestions?
- The ammo boxes on the various MGs are generally not correct. On the armoured vairant, they all appear to be modern boxes. On the unarmoured variant, the .30 cals all have .50 cal boxes and the .50 has a modern box.
- The straps hoding the fire extinguishers in place really shouldn't be red. A galvanised or OD band is more appropriate. And a little weathering on them would be good.
- The interior of the gun shields should be weathered to match the rest of the vehicle.
I'm not trying to nit pick, it's just that such outstanding scratchbuilds should have every detail throughout look as good as the build.

Yes Paul,
I understand but this model is not on the show. My friend did it for themselves and therefore need not be all OK. I think that when I'm 72 years old (if you live to see it) and hold it or brush or tweezers.

Awesome looking LVT3's, I too wish one of the model manufacturers would kit this version. All that is missing in the line up is a "C" variant.

Outstanding workmanship, a beautifully done job of a rarely seen vehicle. I'd also love to see a mainstream manufacturer come out with one. C'mon Trumpeter, Bronco. Takom? Meng? Anybody! Al

Hi Miloslav
Zdenek Hrádek did a fantastic job in scratch building these two versions.
Does he have any in progress picture of them and what scale are they?
I would like to know how did he made his track?
You can reach me here mech-ralph(at)hotmail.com
Best regards,
Ralph
I scratch built the LVT-3 by chopping up the Italeri LVT-4 many years ago when it first came out. You can see pictures of it here.

Oh I understand completely, it's just unfortunate to see such skill and effort with small flaws that would be easy to fix considering all the hard work has been done. But, as you say, he is building for himself and enjoying it at 72 and that's the main thing.

Wonderful work, I wonder why no manufacturer ever made those, even inn resin, some of the best looking LVTs IMVHO.
Cheers,
Christophe
