Anyone have pictures/info of KAT 1 KZO other then jedsite.info page? Is the KAT 1 the correct name for the this version of the 5t with crane?
I have the MR Modelbau resin crane and Revell kit and would like to make the KAT 1.
Thanks for any help.

Hi Ryan,
the KZO (Kleinfluggerät Zielortung) UAS uses no KAT 1 truck. The launch container for the KZO is currently attached to a Mercedes 1017 5 ton truck. The system uses a 2 ton UNIMOG truck with totally different crane for retrieving the landed UAS. Another UAS system, the CL289, is mouunted on a MAN 7 ton Kat1 truck, but has no crane.

A few words about the current Bundeswehr trucks. The MAN (Maschinen Fabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg) Folgegeneration family is the current backbone of Bundeswehr transportation. The Folgegeneration are intented for cross-country transportation and consist of 5 ton, 7 ton and 10 ton trucks. The Bundeswehr also uses HÜ (handelsüblich or commercial) trucks from Daimler Benz, Iveco and MAN. Kategorie 1 or KAT 1 is the first gene-
ration from the 1970ies. The KAT 1 are the RoG kits.
