It's the only paint my lhs has at the moment in the colors I need, but will it work for a wash using vallejo thinner? Has anyone tried it? Thanks

Buy one bottle ( of a color you will use if it doesn't work) and experiment. You may have to get an acrylic median additive from Golden or Liquitex to prevent puddles or pooling.

I did this once to lighten up a base color which came out too dark. I believe I just thinned with water. Depending on the color, it works -- must experiment though.

Try Walmart for oil paints or Michaels as well. Good luck.

I find Vallejo's Glaze Medium works well to create a wash with their normal range of paint. Their 'Air' variety might be a little thin but I'd say its worth a try. It might work well with the thinner too- I haven't personally tried a wash in that way. Best to experiment like Frank said.

+1 on this recommendation.

Don't feel that you're limited to just what's available in your LHS.
