Ok, I have to ask...
I've been looking and looking, and maybe I'm just missing it, but where's the guy's other boot?
Nice figure work, though, with or without the missing footwear!

That's why it's called "asymetric warfare"!
Great paintjob on the figures and great weathering on the vehicles. The ruin and fence are fitting in nicely too ...the only thing a tad disappointing are the trees and their obvious foam foliage. And I would have gone for a "wilder" grass. Lawn isn't their cup of tea over there!
The photographs are cleverly done though! All the elements combine harmoniously! Congratulations!
Thanks for sharing!!
Cheers

Hi MArk,
Good work on the figures, tank and setting. I agree about the trees, the foam foliage doesn't look good. Some more litter around the gun position and worn ground would be good and a few weeds in the grass and/or some chopped wood would help to fill out the area.
Nice work.

A very interesting and well laid out scene Mark. There is certainly plenty to see in it. The figures and equipment, vehicles etc are positioned really well- they are also painted brilliantly. I guess, like the other guys have mentioned, some more weeds and perhaps unruly areas of foliage would help makes things look a bit more natural in terms of the groundwork.

Mark; outstanding work! Print this on a glossy trifold, slip it into a model box, one might think Shep Paine is supplying diorama inserts again.

Beautiful diorama and great paintjob, but...T-80U didn't used in Chechen wars.

Disregarding any recent historical inaccuracy, I really love your work, especially the background and ground base! Keep up the good work mate ^^

Tnx for all the comments guys. Point taken on the trees. Still on a learning curve with that one. Time dictated that I used what I had on hand at the time. Mammock perfectly correct about the B and BV variants in chechen wars, but I found a reference to the T80U in a French military mag called Raids. They printed a special edition on the Russian army in chechen wars. On page 30 they have a pic of a T80U, although it may well be wrong... maybe I can claim a bit of artistic licence. Apologies, should be Xtrakit.

nice work. Keep going at it and you will have things like trees mastered in no time. As for the Pic in Raids, there were 4 T-80U sent to the Chechan area, but non saw combat before they were removed and things like T-62BDD took over the tank role.

Tnx for the info. Not to far off at least. Very difficult to find any really reliable information regarding exact details of what the Russians deployed during these wars.
