Very nicely done!! This one could be sitting under some tall Ardennes pines around Dec. '44.

Rick I Really think the tarp is one of the best I've seen, very real looking. The running gear, wheels and excaust is also very well done. Sorry but there is something just not quite right with the Dunkelgleb body. it just doesn't look like it match's up with the rest. I love the colour of the running gear,but it doesn't flow into the body of the half track. Kind of looks like two different models. Love the canvas,life like! Please dont take this the wrong way Great model,just think you could of smashed it if there was continivity through out. Cheers Geraint

Regarding what bizzychicken wrote, I agree. Great job overall, but it does look like two different models. It's mostly a color adjustment issue between the upper and lower sections.The running gear appears well rendered in a "cool" Light Yellow Green. The upper structure is also well rendered, but in a "warm" Dark Yellow. The result is not a blend, but a clash. There may have been actual instances where parts with these different colors were combined in rebuilds, but it's still a long shot. The kit is very well done, and the color issue could be easily fixed by a lightly airbrushed color blend, combined with washes, pastel dust/pigment applications that marry up the two colors. I also suggest some "cool" Brown/Black/Green vertical streaks on the wooden elements of the upper structure. That might do a lot to tie in the two parts. Again, very well done, just needs some blending to bring it home.

Cool model! I'm not worried about the different shades, the lower body does get more dirt and dust. OTH I think the chipping is a bit excessive, but again overall this SWS looks great.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Truly, I appreciate each as all seem to be constructive in nature. When I look at the model on the shelf, I have to agree that the color DOES look different. One of those things I never even noticed, nor am I sure why? Over washing? I obviously did something, but what I don't know.
Christophe, your right, probably a bit over 'chipped;, but it was so much fun it was hard to stop!

Nice application of tarpauline and overall weathering, love the chipping paint so much! I'm not sure and not too confident to get my single model to be shown as you already do! Congratulations Rick, many thanks for sharing ^^

If my opinion matters, excellent model. The tone discrepancy easy to fix. Excellent work on tarpaulin, wood and body. Neatly done, not drenched in mud. Thank you for sharing and inspiring us.

I wonder why Bronco choose to make this model with those ugly wheels, I only saw one or two period pics of the sWS with this wheels instead the others more common wheels like the ones in the armoured version
