Have you built the individual links for any Dragon 251 half-tracks?
I used the bagged set since the kit I had came with both a bagged set and a set on the fret.
With patience, they actually went together well, and with careful gluing, remain flexible for relatively painless assembly. Unless you've already had a bad experience with these types of tracks, I'd go forward.
What I did was build them into links of two tracks and one pad, then combined those into links of four tracks and three pads, up to 52 each, leaving the last off to tweak the final number which in that kit was 54 on one side and 56 on the other.
Even painting them isn't difficult because the flexibility lets you get a good angle at the pads you have to paint rubber.
Best of luck,
Jon

Bob, I don't think the tracks are that bad. I dread actually starting but once you do they go together pretty easy. What I did was take a pair of popsicle sticks and made a jig to hold the tracks while they were assembled. You can see this jig in both the SdKfz 251 and the Dragon OOB Campaign threads. I connect 5-7 tracks, then go back and add the tracks pads.
