I finally finished the old Matchbox kit and set it on the little display base. Somehow I must have knocked off the little tree that came with the base and it disappeared. I'll replace it with a twig or something later.

The kit was built basically OOB. I did blank off the underside of the turret bustle with sheet styrene and add a strip of styrene to round out the back of the turret ring. Only other modifications done were to drill out the coaxial and hull machine guns as well as the smoke mortar launcher port on the top of the turret.

Quick and easy build.

nice looking little model, a 1/35 comet is high up on my wish list, after all tamiya have the wheels and many other components in their cromwell, so why not do a comet?

it would also be nice like roo says, if more manufacturers included little bases in their kits,
