Boy that cloth top on this vehicle seems very stiff and lacks detailing of folds, bends and assorted irregularities that would make it look more cloth like. I can see the resin after-market gearing up for more releastic offering in this area. (I hope.)

Well once again we have a new GERMAN vehicle on the model scene in 1/35th scale. While I always applaud any new quality offering in this scale, I cannot help but wonder why no manufacture seems to find an interest in the many styles of fire trucks built by the US Quartermaster for worldwide distribution durning the war????

Oh well, I can only keep the faith that "our day will come!"

Normally I would be suggesting that HobbyBoss would be in the perfect position to offer a US Fire Truck given their recent offering of the 750 gal. GMC enclosed cab fuel tanker. However given HB's fiasco with reproducing something as basic as the correct proportions of the standard GMC/Chevy enclosed cab for this model, to my mind, they have left themselves out of the running.

Yup, our day for a hard or soft top American fire truck will come. Proably when I'm too dam blind to build anymore. You would think that the model companies would want to fill in these empty truck and figure areas and cash in on them. Now I realize that German stuff has all the bells and whistles along with more types of this and that, but allied stuff sells as well. Just look at all the large scale aircraft and boats that have come our way. Problem for the dio builders is that they are usually available in resin and cost prohibative to many of us. I was in total I'm in heaven mode when Italeri released the Vosper and 109, but am still waiting for broken parts to be replaced on the Vosper and what ever happened to the release of the Vosper and 109 crew figures? And my plans for P/U the HK modles B-17 are on hold because of the lack of support trucks for the planned dio. A big thumbs up for the new releases we get but some one still isn't listening to many model builders. By the way, how much German stuff from W.W.2 hasn't been modeled up yet? Would be interesting to knpw especially when D.M.L. was producing paper tanks.

Agree...

but it's only a 3D rendering Check out the radiator top shape as well : looks rather too flat to me...I guess the kit parts will be OK.
