Hi all,
this is my latest WIP. It is the amazing kit from MENG built directly out of the box. I´m going for the camo pattern from the Russian Arms Expo 2013, splinter type. So far the first 2 colors are on, the darker tone is missing. A lot of Tamiya tape was necessary so far and masking really took its time
Let me know what you think. I´m off to holiday tomorrow for a week so sorry, will take some days for an update.
Hull is not glued together and the turret is only placed for the pics. I used Ammo by MIG and Vallejo colors.

Hi Dario!
Thank you for your nice comment. No issues or problems at all, this kit simply falls together perfectly. Even the tracks, which may seem complicated, are no issue. The template for the swing arms and the tracks really help when building this monster. This actually was the best kit I ever built so far, no kidding.
Best regards,
Andreas

Stellar build Andreas and that is easily the coolest camo choice you could make for this vehicle- looking fantastic with the two colors on- I can't wait to see it with the third color done!

Might I ask... what colours are you using for paint? I love your camoflague job.
Cheers,
Tom

Thank you all for your comments and interest. i may will start this again as a Build log when the next Color is on. Im just back from wonderful south italy and need a few days to realize Im no longer there
Tom, I used the following colors. For the base light tone I sprayed AMMO by MIG 029 New Iraqui Army Sand, highlighted then with AMMO 905 Dunkelgelb shine.
The darker tone is VALLEJO Model Color 824 German Cam Orange Ochre. Highlighted on the hull with AMMO 037 Dry Light Mud. On the turret I used another Highlight, again with AMMO 029 New Iraqui Army Sand.
I have no clue so far which Color I should use for the darkest paint, well, probably will mix something. I will let you know.
All the best,
Andreas

Andreas,
Did you ever take any pictures of your finished BMP-T?
I'm thinking about using that pattern as a basis for an Arctic camo pattern for the 2S6M Tunguska kit I just started tonight.

Andreas, you're making a very impressive and good-looking model. Probably it'll be my next one, so I'm very happy to read a so positive report of an issueless build.
