It looks simpler than Meng's, but still nice.

I'm glad I didn't order it. It is badly simplified in several areas. Meng for me all the way.

A quick comparison with Meng's M2A2 suggests that where Meng have broken assemblies down into multiple parts Orochi have molded them as one, and in a couple of areas the detail looks a little plain. But it still looks good to me. I'll reserve final judgement until I actually have it in my hands...

From what I am seeing, I'll stick with Meng as well. Orochi's looks to be about the same level of detail as the old Tamiya M2A2 kits. Not really up to current standards in my opinion.

Nope. I'm just telling what I see since this is the first time we have actually seen it in plastic. I'll call a spade a spade every time.

Have to admit, I've been mystified by some of the negative reaction to this kit since its announcement. There must be something I'm missing...

The initial reaction was negative only because the price point of the "Deluxe Edition" was set much too high, considering its contents, compared to the already available Meng M2A3 (with no metal tracks and barrel, but with the full interior included, what was considered by many as much more valuable addition). It initially had nothing to do with the kit quality, as we didn't know anything about it back then.

Now the criticism is based on the published photos. The details visible there are very disappointing. As Gino wrote, they seem to be closer to the Tamiya M2A2 quality rather than the standard set by the Meng M2A3 and now their M3A3. Some details look just bad, like the TOW launcher box front and rear details, or molded on steps on side skirts. And the price of the "standard" Orochi edition is now practically the same as the Meng M3A3 kit, so there is no excuse for giving us less detailed model for the same price...

Gents, I prefer to go from a review of the ACTUAL kit and not photos. The price points are variable, depending on where you buy it, and the metal tracks are definitely appealing to me. I'm just not sure I want another Bradley that's virtually the same on the outside as the M2A3 already out (and in my stash).
