This BRDM looks like it's been put in jail !
I like the quadruple SPG mount on the last pic. It's certainly not easy to serve though.

Nice conversion ideas.. thanks for posting, Henri-Pierre
The side skirt on the BMP-2 should be easy to do
That BTR-70 or 80 in the last pic with those recoilless rifles on top looks interesting
That BRDM with the boxy looking cage around it reminds me of a similar cage around a few M-113s I saw here in Sinai
Lots of interesting conversion projects

Hi Henri,
They still seem to be using something similar, I saw some footage from there on the news just the other day resembled a very closely spaced bar armour.

Also a little off topic, but I found this BMP2 from Syria.

All the improvised add-on armor in Ukraine is starting to remind me of similar home brew armor from the various Yugoslav civil wars.

That BTR add-on armor looks the same compare to the WWII one.

Here's an interesting one.. a KAMAZ/BMD-2 gun truck
Could this be done with Trumpeter's URAL truck, or is that one too light for this?

Those rockets on top of those BTR-80s are known as "Jokers",they are Ukraine's newest answer to anti-tank problems.

Very cool. Looks like they learned something from history. Vietnam era M54 5 ton guntruck w/M113 in bed.

The Ural truck should be fine for this. Pretty much any dual rear axle truck 5 tons or larger would be fine.

Do you think the BMD would be put on there with its wheels on or without them? I wonder how they would secure it on there?

Hi Hisham
I've just came across some interesting pics from Ukraine that may help with your question (and your previous question as well

) :

...although I guess these trucks are just moving these BMD's around (no gun truck here...)
On a side note, the pictured BMD-2's have their suspension lowered (BMD's are fitted with a hydraulic system for altering the ground clearance and maintaining the track tension with pneumatic springs)
Two more views of the gun truck pictured in your post :

I'm not 100% sure about the side these guys are on, but I believe they are pro-Russian separatists ("Vostok Battalion")

...And a video to boot
