Aloha everyone!!!
I was wondering if anyone had any information on the smoke dischargers that are seen on the upper "deck" of Egyptian M-113's. One picture I have seems to indicate it is one similar to that used on the US M-1 mbt. Help please
Thank you in advance!!!
Kurt

Looks like you could be right
( pics from http://milinme.wordpress.com/ )
I guess these could either be M239 grenade launchers, as used on the M88 and the M60 series tanks, or M250 ones, as fitted to the M1 series tanks... :
Both types are very similar...

Having said that Frenchy do you have anymore closer pics of the bracket that holds the discharger?
Thank you,

They use the same base as the US system - which use 66mm grenades - but have been modified to take Wegman 76mm tubes & grenades.
Tubes from any Leopard 1 or 2, PzH2000 or Boxer kit grafted onto the base from an Abrams kit should work.

Thank you Greg. Do you happen to know if the bracket is use is a common bracket that can be found in another kit or is a scratchbuild type of item? I know, I'm lazy

I'd use the mount, bracket & base from the Dragon M1A1 AIM or M1A2 SEP. That'd be the easiest
