Main hull parts assembly is straightforward;)



so are the side sections



drive train and bulkheads



a pile of rollers



installed.


now the fun part starts - closing the side sections and building the tracks which are 1000 parts in this set
92 track links per side and each link is 5 parts however, there are shortcuts and I will cover that.

OKAY!! I am buying one this weekend! Put it off too long, what a great looking build Roman.

Are the chains in sections? I mean, it wasn't a belt to drape over, right?

drive train chain? no that's single part

Having build a coupe of Emhars oldies, this one really looks up to date. I just Wonder, are those drive trains going to be visible at all after the assembly?

no, these parts are hidden as soon as you close the hull sides and put the tracks on

but if you want to do a wreck - Takom is the best start

As soon as you close the side hull parts there is nothing to be seen from that complicated suspension



both sides done - glue them to hull. I have a feeling that it takes extra time to harden the styrene from Takom and strongly advise using some kind of pressure or fixation until it is 100% hardened. Tried both Tamiya and Deluxe glues.




As for the tracks - simply glue only 3 parts and not five to get something like this

and then install on the model.


the gaps that I got between the side hull sections and main hull will be fully covered by tracks.

Did you need to remove some rivets to put the decals? I found no other way on mine...

no, I punctured the decals in these areas and then added some satin black or white on top of the rivet.

Don't keep us in suspense, Roman, how about a colour pic now? :-)

here you go I am not 100% happy with the red colour, but it will be closer to what it should have been as soon as I put layers of dust/mud, etc.
